It is not unusual for the chassis model year to be different than the coach model year.
The standard vin (this is on the chassis and cannot be changed) is physically coded to the model year it was issued for, that is "how they know"
IMHO, this is not even worth argueing with anyone over.
It is a government piece of paper that exists purely to facilitate collecting a tax.
It means nothing.
You pay a tax to get your title, and then you pay another tax to get your plates...
It is still a 2014 whoever whatever motorhome, even if built on a "new 2001" chassis.
