Registration of a 2014 coach on a 2013 chassis

Hi All, Our 2014 Thor Axis is built on a 2013 Ford chassis. We had both titles and the vin was the same for the Thor coach and Ford chassis. No matter how much we explained to our local tag office...

why does what the DMV title a RV as really matter that much to everybody? as some have pointed out, having it registered as a year older can save on title fees, property tax, etc.
now what matters is what your insurance company insures the "box" as so that in case of loss the increased value is used. lots of fretting over nothing IMHO. or is it just an ego thing?
