First let me say, I made the original post because we had never experienced this issue before and knew many of you would have great advice!! To all of you who have shared your experiences or suggestions, a big thank you, as you have really helped!!
Ego? Absolutely not!!!!
This is all about finances and having our title, insurance, and lien all refer to the same year coach! If we had bought a 2013 coach then it would currently be worth less, and we would have expected to pay less! You take a big enough hit driving off the dealer's lot as it is! Really want to avoid any resale or trading hassle down the road, too!
In GA you now pay all taxes and ad valorem up front when first registering, and then all you owe each year is the $20 tag fee. Absolutely no advantage in this state having a title for an older year than what you purchased!!
Thor has been extremely helpful in resolving any warranty issues so far. Appears they are also helping resolve the title issue. Have just received a response from Laura Umpleby at Thor, with a letter for the DMV regarding our coach. Will be taking it to our DMV office and post when I know if it helps!!
