The biggest problem is maintenance costs- you can buy an older DP in great shape fairly cheap, but tires are going to be expensive, oil changes expensive, etc.
That said, a friend sold their BlueBird WB45 a while back for the mid 80's- really dirt cheap for the coach quality, though no slides. I could have bought the coach, I could not afford to "re-tire" or maintain it though :)
