If it's true, they were lucky as heck.
I can only say and hope that our true bus chassis would not come apart like that. What a disaster.
Their lucky stars certainly lined up that day.

Mark,
Here is a video of them doing a drop test on a Prevost bus. crash test - HalmfamilyExplorerWow, both of those are scarry. I watch a Ford Explorer rear end an 18 wheeler on the way to work yesterday. The Explorer went all the way under to the trailers wheels. Not sure if the driver lived, he never applied the brakes. Spoke with a State Trooper at my store later in the day and he said the driver was on his cell phone at the time of the accident.

While this involved a trailer, it's a reminder for all of us to drive safely and watch out for the "other guy". Tragic story...Dennis

X2, Thanks Dennis for reminding us. I know that when in the MH I am always cautious of something like this happening. Always need to drive defensively. I'd rather get there later than never. Terrible accident. On my way to the CA coast last week and had a major accident, 4 vehicles, about 100 yards in front of me. I saw some smoke coming from someones tires and slowed down to about 30. Tire separated from rim on a Toyota, spun around, hit the side of a big rig then 2, maybe 3 other cars on Hwy 1. Took out the right two lanes. I was able to to move into diamond lane to get around the mess. Fortunately, no serious injuries.
