I agree. The only problem is you don't have any idea how long the plugs have been in stock at the dealer or parts house. About 6 years ago I bought a package of 2 that were 15/16" variety. Last year I bought another pack and low and behold they were the older 7/8" style.
It didn't make much difference in our case since I have both size sockets, but it could be annoying if you only have one or the other socket.
