I never even thought about using a shower curtain or somebody wanting to. To me, shower doors are so much better but apparently the desire is about 50/50. I always squeegee the doors down after a shower and after 7.5 yrs. of use, our doors and side panels are like new (2008 Monaco Dynasty).
And, I'm a clean freak so every couple of months I get out an old tooth brush using Scrubbing Bubbles and clean all the crevices around the door and corners.
It seems like to me, from past experience, that a shower curtain wants to pull in when showering. And, I like the openness of clear glass vs. an opaque curtain.
