A crack that hasn't separated can be fixed, in many cases, by trickling a tiny stream of methylene chloride into the crack. The solvent melts the plastic, and it flows back together, creating an almost invisible mend. You can get that stuff from a sign shop that works with plastic/acrylic signs. Use with caution, it is toxic. Works wonderfully for cracks in skylights, too.
