If you like a diesel for hobby reasons, I get that. But for what it will cost you to do a conversion you can buy literally thousands of gallons of gas.
Diesel motors that are old enough to run on homemade biodiesel and small and light enough to fit in that motorhome are not going to be easy to find. One suggestion would be an engine and transmission out of an older Isuzu N series truck. They are only about 140 horsepower and won't move that Dodge motorhome at lightning speed, but then again neither will a tired 360 Dodge V8. Like others have said a 6B Cummins motor will be likely be too big, and the new 6.7 Ford nearly impossible and ungodly expensive. Any diesel conversion will require expert-level ability in shade-tree engineering and fabrication to make it work.
