Replacing microwave/convection oven
The over the counter microwave in our 1999 DSDP is kaput. At 15 years old, I guess it's due. Can anyone give me an idea how to remove it while minimizing the damage to the cabinetry? Thanks! Bob

Given the age of your unit I can't say that it will be like some that are a little newer, but most of these units are usually screwed from the top cabinet down into the micro/conv to hold the front, and it is held in back by a metal plate that the rear of the unit hangs on. So, if you can find some fasters in the front and top of the unit it should just come down in the front and then you lift it off of the rear plate.
Mine had some screw behind the top venting assembly and three large bolts screwed down from the wood base of the cabinet above.
