I had forgotten to mention this oven is a Sharp Carousel Smart and Easy Covection Oven.
I found the installation manual. This is a TOP vented rig, going to an outside vent.
The instructions indicate that once the bracket is mounted to the wall, the oven itself is mounted to the bracket by sitting its rear lower edge into the channel on the lower edge of the bracket, then pivoting the oven up to level, tightening the two bolts that come in from the bottom above the grease filters, and installing the two bolts that come down through the shelf above the unit.
So, since I have removed all of the fasteners coming down from above, as well as the two bottom bolts, it appears that the oven should just tip forward out of the bracket.
The problem SEEMS to be that the rectangular vent " chimney" is engaging the vent stack on top of the oven, and won't allow it to tip forward.
With casual inspection, it is not obvious how I should proceed to separate the oven from the chimney.
Any ideas? Am I not seeing something critical?
I did not see any additional screws angling up from the bottom into the mounting bracket, and the oven seems to be loose in the bracket, as I can move it a small amount with little effort.
