If you get into Yosemite it will like winning the lottery.
Many will give you advise that they travel without reservations but that is rapidly changing. This year alone on the Oregon coast many drove much further than where they wanted to stay because they had no reservations.
California is worse. Used to live there and travel there often.
Plan ahead and get reservations. You will thank yourself.
