I just did the same thing , and got rid of my DOMETIC side by side.
I looked at the HAIER , but have delt with them in the past , and found them to be NO HELP in the cust. svc. dept.
They got my name -address & phone # ... THEN asked for my Credit Card #.
When I asked WHY ... they said they would only send a technician out , and did NOT give any help over the phone , and , the tech would charge my credit card.
THAT IS THE LAST TIME I WILL BUY ANYTHING FROM HAIER ! It was a Washer / Dryer.
I did buy a Magic Chef VISSANI 9.9 cf from Home Depot , and it fit into my slot ( vertically ) almost perfectly. I will need to create a 9" closet next to it.
I plan to buy a SINE WAVE Inverter to run it when needed , but since it only draws 1.4 AMPS , I won't need a big one.
$300 ... for the fridge .... instead of $2800
Does anybody have a suggestion on a reliable INVERTER ?
" XANTREX " seems to be one , but rather pricey.
