I have been debating what shocks would provide the best ride and handling of my short(34ft) DP. Been researching shocks but found a site that sells super steer air bag controllers. They install on each air line and prevent the rush of air out of the bag on hard turns/side winds thus improve handling. Interested if anyone has them and the results. Also Koni vs Bilstein on Spartan Summit dp chassis. Normal typical loaded travel weight 20000/21000 lbs of 22000.
I want better handling not a harsh ride in trying to trying to make improvements. Any suggestions?
You typically don't get that much air exhausting the airbags on corners and in wind. Personally I would not go for air bag controllers as I think they would inhibit the way the airbags are supposed to work. I would have the ride height checked for your coach it may make a difference.
Shocks are a debatable subject with lots of differing opinions. I don't
think a different shock will make that much difference. Some here say that one is way better than the other and some say they didn't see a great change. A shorter coach will ride rougher than a longer one so it may be what it is. My coach on some roads rides terrible and there is lots of road noise. But on other roads it rides great and handles like a dream .
