I see you are in Canada so maybe that's the story up there, but here in the US LP is not only readily available it's still a staple fuel source not only for Rv's but homes as well. We just built a home and the water heater as well as the fireplace both use LP. I opted for an electric range, but could have chosen LP for that as well. While selecting an LP company I had about a dozen to choose from in our area. For the RV, any dealership, CG and farm supply stores can fill LP. In terms of efficiency, my coach has an LP only hot water, stove, and the fridge is dual fuel. We camp often in cooler weather and one tank lasts me at least a year.
