I can relate, I had to have the Roadmaster installed on the new MKX. I certainly like the ease of the Blue Ox but they didn't have a base plate for it.
The Roadmaster system looks clunky. I will remove it once parked as I don't want 'all that mess' hanging on the front of my new car!

Kia Spectra. I'm like you, the Roadmaster is unattractive and clunky, heavy and hard to store. I have no doubt it's safe but I sure like the Blue Ox better. It's funny that Blue Ox makes a baseplate for the Kia Spectra 5 but not the Spectra. On the other hand, Roadmaster's base plate will fit the Spectra or the Spectra 5.
