I have installed Roadmaster on 4 different autos. First time took 6 hours the last only took three. I have found that their instructions to be very clear and complete. It takes much longer to wire the brake, turn singles and tail lights.
Regarding the reference to the cross bar, I remove mine when we are home at a location where we will be staying more than a couple of days. I leave the tow bar on the motor home and store the cross bar. Only 4 pins to remove. Very easy and simple.
