Roadtrek - how do you service generator?
Since the generator is underneath near the rear axle, how do you clean the carburetor and replace plugs, air filters, oil and stuff like that? And is there any way to quiet it down any? Any in...

the genny must be dropped for major service ( carb)
minor services like oil change in place.
some add mufflers.
We rarely use ours- our style of camping is either campground shore power or we can go a couple of days on solely battery power.
gennys need to be run regularly to prevent the carb from clogging up...or - add a petcock to shut off fuel flow and run the genny until it stalls...
which is what we do.
while stored, every week or so I hit the start button ( no gas) for about 20 seconds to splash oil the motor.
