It'll have eight Deep Cycle AGM batteries, or two deep cycle lithium ion batteries according to Jim Hammill from Roadtrek.
Can you imagine the replacement cost for 8 AGMs or 2 lithium ions?
"Propane-Free" isn't an advantage IMHO. As a previous poster said, you can't use a microwave for everything. And we like our furnace - old technology but economical.
Bet the price point is in excess of $125 K. Is there really a market for a "B" in this price range?
Yes, it's innovative, but........
What has happen to being simple, functional and practical. Personally I like the idea of the old "B" multi-systems of 12VDC, 120VAC and propane. When boondocking cook your meals on the propane stove, run out of propane then you could use the MW. Run the fridge on propane - run out of propane, you can always switch to 12VDC or even 120VAC as I do if you have an inverter.
Nail, head, hit.
This replaces one fairly rare fuel with another that is extremely rare. LP gas may be a pain to find fillers for, but worst case, I can use an Extend-a-Stay kit and 20# propane bottles that sit in a cargo rack. I'm sure the Mercedes diesel engine is economical, but a generator will have more economy just due to the fact it pushes one cylinder and not six.
I'm all for innovation, but I would rather see more stuff along the lines of the rear slide Agile that turns a 19 footer into a 22 footer when it comes to space, than having to hunt down distributers for fuels that are not really present in the US and likely impossible to find when boondocking in deep banjo country.
