Not a thing happened to that idea, all of that is still available! They didn't take anything away, they just introduced new options. Too pricey for me, but thank goodness for "early adopters". They pay for the innovations that everyone else can afford a few years later. That is why solar is so common today.
Sorry "rv bill-e", but you had better read the specs for the RS-E. It has not propane period, no propane stove, no propane water heater, propane powered fridge nor propane furnace.
