From reading all the posts on this subject I think most of us come to a conclusion: this model is not for most of us. It will have a very limited market appeal and probably no longer will be built in a few model years. It is just too advanced for most of us except the most techno, edge of the technology types.
Nothing wrong with that and I certainly don't mean my statements critically. Perhaps the unit will find more acceptance in Canada and a few northern states, but I just can't imagine it in most of the US, particularly with each year seeming to be hotter than the previous year. We all know when the ac kicks on the amp input jumps significantly until the thing gets going.
We love our Roadtrek and just wish it had a generator that didn't sound like a 1920 Maytag gasoline washing machine. Like most, we have insulated, resonated and cussed. That 2800 still is LOUD and always will be. As to propane and the fear of it, I just don't get it. Has anyone thought of what thirty gallons of gasoline can do in a fire? And a gasoline tank is paper thin compared to a propane tank.
Just my observations.
