Espar makes this same system in gas. I talked to the company a few years back about them. They are mostly used in trucking and are thus mostly diesel, but gas is possible too. I would love to have one since the heaters are so quiet... compared with the horrid propane things that we all have now.
All electric RVs are not exactly new. There have been some Class A models attempting it I've been told by a local RV dealer. I would try to track that down but just am not that interested in doing so.
I saw one here in my RV park in Arizona the last couple years. Very interesting unit and the owner just loves it. It was about 10 years old I think and a beautiful looking unit. Sadly I can't recall the name (they are not here yet this year), but it was a real eye catcher.
