I'm having the same problem. Right now I am using a high strength adhesive matte black tape running the full length across the seam and it's holding it in place. It's about 2-1/2" thick and holds well. Being black, it isn't really that noticeable when viewed casually. Until I find a permanent solution, this will at least keep the windows functional and secure.
