They get around the 30 amp main breaker by having a 20 amp breaker in their "box". I'd rather run a secondary shore power cord for say $30 bucks total?

It's called the Power Solutions Dual Power Adaptor.
The dual power adaptor was just what you're describing. It's just a way to run a secondary shore line from the camp pedestal to the second a/c unit. It's just a hard-wired way to do it without interfering with the coach power. I think they cost about $80. They are apparently out of business but it's a simple device to build.
