How many of you run with your house air using your generator? We are planning a trip to the Midwest in a couple weeks and the dash air doesn't work. Hasn't for some time, no one can find the problem and besides, it doesn't cool the coach.
In hot weather, we always run the roof air. It's a rolling motel, with quite a bit of sq feet, for crissy sakes.
The only reason I can think of for having dash air, is cuz it came with the chassis in most cases and a waste of time, expense and weight IMO. Not to mention having another component running on the drive belt and a condenser for blocking the radiator (gas puller models, anyway) and cluttering up things in general. Wouldn't be so bad and so completely worthless, if they didn't have so many constant issues.
Most who argue these points, have never been in hot weather and just think they have, so to eliminate the confusion, try the tropics or the desert southwest in mid summer...:E
