Without feedback from the driver and murky situation about cable role, we do have speculate a bit, but after first surprize with flat pulling him to the left, the driver reacted and straighten the coach to the right.
He overreacted a bit and straighten it pretty good to the left and at that moment cable took over the control.
Bottom line the coach under driver control did not go into opposite lane of traffic.
Would driver not react, the coach would be on its side before hitting center of the freeway.
