We used a ADCO cover on our 5th wheel. I used all the straps provided to secure the cover as tight as I could. The first year we had issues with wind and movement rubbing off paint at some points and some damage to the cover. The second year we used old towels to cover parts that could damage the cover and places where paint damage was a problem. It was a hassle getting the cover on and off so it was only used during the Winter.
We currently use a free standing metal frame with a cover over it. The cover lasts about 3 to 4 years before we have to replace it. I prefer a free standing cover as it is much easier to access the RV and easy to store the RV or remove from storage. We use the cover all year. Protects from sun in the Summer and rain in the Winter.
