- BordercollieExplorerIf I wasn't so lazy, I would have used a cover to protect our 2004 rig from Socal sun, graphics and gel coat are quite faded and cracked now. Nothing can stand up to hot sun damage.
- ScottGNomadMy ADCO has served me well for ten years. But, they don't stand up to buffeting winds. Otherwise they will do a good job of protecting your RV. If you don't see that kind of severe weather then a cover will work.
- rockhillmanorExplorer IILived up North with lots of heavy snow and storms. Covers don't work and are a waste of money.
There are many companies that make numerous design car ports. That IMHO is the best way to go if you have your heart set on covering it.
Here's a good site to view all the options available.

Be honest with you my MH spent 4 long winters up north with out any cover and you wouldn't even know it. I just stayed on top of removing heavy snow from roof after snow storms. Many RV'ers don't cover their MH's in the snow states. - bsinmichExplorerWe had 2 covers for our 27' Jamboree in the past. I tried everything to keep it on in the wsind. It was stored in an open field at my friend's house. One time he called and said the cover was in the cornfield across the street. All of the ropes (500') were still in place on the MH. The next time it had blown off but was still attached to the MH. This was in about a 3 week period. By the second cover we just gave up on it and sold it with the MH. Now we have indoor storage in a barn. The only problem there is the solar panels do nothing in a barn.
- garyhauptExplorerThere are a couple of the fabric type that are gauranteed to stand against snow. Kind $$ but so's a metal framed shed. It needs to be a rounded roof, so it sheds snow.

You asked about using a PVC frame in the post that was closed. PVC isn't up to the task. You might consider an EMT frame for which they make proper fittings. Check out Creative Shelters You'd also have to figure out how to keep it from blowing away.
Nice www site! Gonna research this idea some. Thanks! - SteeljagExplorerBuddy had a cover for his 29' TT, hated it and I hated having to help him put in on and remove. Finally built a roof to park it under to keep it protected from the Sun and rain.
