I have tracked all my trips over the years and they vary from $69 to $107/day for a trip to Alaska. For trips more than 5 days the MH pays off. You would be hard pressed to find a decent hotel for less than $100/day let alone food, or car rentals. The biggest expense is fuel so you don't want to drive far for a short stay.
