Go get it but when you get back to Vegas you will need to upgrade your license, you have to go to Loosey and Craig to the commercial DMV and take a test and test drive in your new motorhome and if you pass they will issue you a non commercial class A licenses.
Is he "legal" going and picking it up prior to having the license? Do they have a learners permit type process? I see you have to do a driving test to get the license and I doubt that DMV has their own 42 motorhome for you to drive, so how do they work that out?

Yes they do have a learners permit, You must have someone holding the type of license (Or higher class) in the motorhome, Although, I went alone, After I passed all the tests, I asked the examiner if the check for the additional licensed driver? she said "We are not an enforcement division" and walked away.
I got a non commercial class B
Be prepared, Study.
Terry.
The test is very hard,if you are not prepared. You need to do a complete pre trip inspection, Take a skills test, then an over the road test
