You may want to rethink your deductible and do the math. It's possible that a $1000 deductible may save you $1000 every four or five years (or sooner). Calculate that by the number of times you're awning will get blown off?
Also with Progressive, they have a reducing deductible for every year you don't make a claim. My dedecuctible was reduced to zero a long time ago since I've never filed a claim. So even though my stated deductible is $1000, the first time my power awning blows off it won't cost me a dime. But then I'll be back to $1000 after that, but it will reduce again.
