We just purchased our first MH about 2 weeks ago. The dealer said they could get us a better rate with Progressive than our current State Farm on our RV and 2012 Jeep Sport. Their "quote " was initially better at $2800 per year for both.

When we signed the papers ( they were given all our car & driving history up front) on the MH and started on the insurance red flags came up??? My wife was in a accident last year ( not her fault). They changed the rate to the motorhome to $3800 per year & $3000 on the Jeep.

Of course they took my initial deposit of over $1000 to get it started before the "red flags" came up. I told them Progressive was nuts if they thought I would pay that. They said I could cancel and get a full refund. That was over two weeks ago. They had zero problems charging my credit card in 30 seconds. Still waiting for the check.

I have State Farm, insurance for the new MH is 1800 for the year. Big difference. Progressive doesn't seem to like claims. Even not at fault claims.

All insurance companies are a racket. They have a license to steal IMHO.
