We went Wednesday AM primarily because we were staying close by in Bradenton and had never been to a large RV show.
As soon as I saw the traffic back-up trying to get off I-4 onto 301 I thought about just saying to heck with this. But, DW talked me into staying in line. We got in by 10:00 but, as previously noted, by 11:30 the vendor displays inside were packed. I think the only way to be able to enjoy going to one of these things is to be onsite in your RV so you can come and go as you please and not be stuck in the traffic.
What really amazed me was the almost total lack of any traffic control. There was one police officer waving people off 301 into the parking lot. When exiting the show, there was no one to help with exiting and you just had to take your chances getting back onto 301. When we finally got out at about 12:45, traffic was literally backed up for miles on I-75 north trying to got on I-4.
Not something we would ever do again.
