Only here to let people that are considering FMCA convention that they might learn something. There will be "4 corner" scale weighing by RVSEF at the event. NOTE I do not work for and am not paid to mention RVSEF.

My background for those that don't know/
40 years in tire design and evaluation. Completed over 20,000 forensic inspections of "Failed" tires to determine Root Cause. Now retired.
Previous RV experience: With family in 13' in '60s, Old Winni '84 - 87, Slide in truck camper 88 - 96, Open trailer with Camaro to Calif in 86. Towed 26' enclosed car hauler w/ Camaro race car OH, CT, IN, NY, to Daytona, and to Mosport Canada 88-97.

Have lectured at US DOT headquarters in Wash DC and to hundreds of engineers & techs from tire industry in US, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Brazil, Venezuela & Argentina. Give seminars at RV rallys on Tire Knowledge for the RV owner and have a blog

You're right! I'll start looking at Charlotte. Have mostly been looking at eastern NC. I am not going to Texas!!

I sure see a lot of used real nice units for sale on the various Craigs list sites in NC. I check Raleigh and Charlotte every day and they pop up often. Lot easier and cheaper to look at one near home rather than Fla or Calif.....

I have three seminars on genealogy and two seminars on tires scheduled.
1 Basic Tires may be the most important safety feature on your RV. Do you know how to care for your tires? Thanks for the heads up. I haven't even thought about going out to the fairgrounds. Will try to get out there soon and you're right - lots of great people in Kinston!

If your talking about the RV dealership at Ashland VA, it is right beside I-95 & can be seen very well from the interstate. They have all sorts of RVs, from pop ups to three axle class A's lined up at least a half mile long. It is a site to behold.

We have quite a few good friends down your way, Mr Jim Rouse & all of the Lenior Co fair board members.
They have full hook up out at the fair grounds, say like if you wanted to try an RV out first before you buy.

Cheapest place to look for a used class A, Fla just before spring time or either out in Cali. I guess a lot of RV folks go to those two states for winter & then try to sell before the summer returns to where they live at.
