This after having to put my 14 year old Jack Russell down that we have had since she was a baby, last Tuesday. We are struggling with the loss of both.
Man!, I am sorry for you. It will not be the same but maybe your insurance company can get you into something for your trip. Unless you are extremely lucky, I would not county on getting your old unit back.
Were there any surveillance camera located at the storage facility?
