I think spring of last year was when they came on the market. First time I saw them anyway. They are nice, better than we expected them to be actually.

Jwolff55: Ours didn't come down that low and still did the job. They were the first thing we did at every stay. We absolutely loved them - kept out a lot of heat and added privacy even though they didn't come down as low as yours. As we walked campgrounds and viewed others who used them, we found the eye goes directly to the awning and doesn't concentrate on the window itself so unless someone is standing there really staring into the window part, we had privacy. We rarely used our big awning but always the window ones.

This is why I bought full view window awnings, I can see the sky even when my window awnings are deployed, but people cannot see in. It is a bit hard to see out of a window that also has a screen, but most new windows are frameless and don't have screens. If you are in a tight campground, the full view awnings give privacy and more light, you can still see out because you can leave your day shades up.

I bought full view window awnings from ShadePro.net and installed them myself with the help of a friend.

It amazes me to this day that there are people willing to spend good money and when business comes the way of a company people are like "meh, nah, don't want it".

Thanks for this link. I've never seen this site before. I'm quite impressed. I checked the 2 local dealers I do business with and they have excellent ratings. And I concur! I checked on others I know about, and not surprised at all with the results.

I'm with Ivhlog and Clay. I found the exact type, size and color of my existing window awnings and installed all new ones on the passenger side including the rear bath. This allows us to not have to have the large awning out all the time.

It was not difficult and I did it by my self with the exception of having my DW hold one end of a very long awning material while I guided it into the slot.

I got mine from Carefree of Colorado who made all my existing awnings.
