How and why would the fridge be the main cause of RV fires?

On September 10, 2014 at 2:35 PM Carroll Township Police along with Dillsburg Citizens Hose Fire Company, Franklintown Community Fire Company and Monaghan Township Fire Company responded to 19 West Greenhouse road, Carroll Township for a recreational vehicle (RV) that was on fire.

The vehicle, which was owned by Thomas Wertman of West Greenhouse Road was parked when the vehicle erupted in flames. First Responders were able to bring the blaze under control with in minutes of arriving on scene.

There were no persons inside the vehicle when the fire started and no injuries were reported. At this time the cause of the fire is under investigation, and no estimate on damages to the vehicle, but the vehicle was a total loss.

thats so sad....I hope we can get info on what the cause was...I hope no one was inside....

wow that's some picture! Looks like it was parked at home on a residential street? After seeing so many of these pictures AND seeing them on the side of the road during my travels. Once I went full time I have to admit I was always thinking of my MH catching fire. :(

Terrible...If I would venture a guess, it would be the refrigerator. Looking at the refrigerator area (what looks like the frig area) its completely destroyed... Course all of the top picture says its completely destroyed too.... On edit that area looks more like the bathroom area.
