RV/Motorhome Parks/Campgrounds

What is the most detailed on line information site for finding a campground/motorhome park.
I would prefer a map system, where you go to the state and then route, then choose campground. Should detail the facility and layout if possible.

Now if anyone is still reviewing this post. My wife and I are flying to Atlanta to pick up our new Newmar Mtn Aire. We leave tomorrow arrive into Atlanta rent a car and drive to the dealership. We confirm the mh and go through the delivery. Spend two nights at Stone Mtn RV Resort. If we need to return to the dealer for clarity or problems they vow to drop what they are doing to accomidate.
For my question: we will tr4avel up I 24 toward Paduca, Ky. Any suggestions for a nice rv resort. Then we will travel toward Topeka, Ks any suggestions near there?

Just as an illustration of the process, if you were interested in Paducah, there are several nice campgrounds listed on rvparkreviews.com: Reviews-Paducah, KY. But another way to do it is to map out your route. Assuming you are taking I-24 to Illinois, and picking up I-57 there, the half-way point to Topeka occurs somewhere in southern Illinois (which would be a long drive, too long for us, but you know your own endurance). Go to rvparkreviews.com, select the Illinois map, zoom in on the southern part of the state, look along I-57 and the cities with reviewed campgrounds will appear. Metropolis is the first city that you'd hit ... looks to me like nothing great there. Vienna - nothing. Then Goreville, which has a nice state park and a nice campground (the only negative review warns of low-hanging branches--good advice when driving your new baby). You get the idea.

And yes, we have done this on the road while driving. The DW is VP in charge of finding appropriate destinations.

    Have fun. Keep us posted,
    Skip

(P.S. The Stone Mountain campground can be a little challenging in a motorhome. Some of the sites are not very level, the roads can be a bit tight, etc. Nothing unmanageable, but for a first trip, be careful and keep your spirits up. Even a "challenging" campground is fun with the right attitude.)
  • RV Parky for Android (from Play Store) for tablet or smartphone.

Look up selected Park on Rv Park Reviews

    Visit Park Web Page

Then insert the address to Google Earth and drill down for a look.
  • Save you time on RVpark reviews, not helpful, the Good Sam campground search has a map that is great.

As you can see we have stayed in many parks in the last 4 years so I am not a novice at this.
  • We like the "allstays" app on our iPad. It shows not only rv parks, it also shows fuel stops, state and national park campgrounds, walmarts, etc., all shown on a map and able to filter for different searches.
  • I have also used RV Park Finder - if you can find the campground then there is a link to a 'Google' search for it so you can find everything out about it as well as a direct link to the Google satellite image

It doesn't have as many reviews as some of the other sites, but seems to have a lot more campgrounds that the others have missed out.
