Salvage title, how much does it influnce value

A salvage title means it is pretty much worth scrap, or at the most, a bit less than what one gets by parting it out (refer, frame, etc.)

Something worth $38k with a salvage title, I'd toss $10k on the table, and if the guy doesn't settle for $15k I'd walk. This after I check with my insurance company and run the VIN so I don't have any surprises registering/re-titling the vehicle in my name.
