Salvage title, how much does it influnce value

I have called on a coach I am interested in because it looks like a good deal. Turns out it has a salvage title. The owner claims he has before pics showing the damage, claims it is only on the ...

X10 to the immediately preceding post! Without the correct paperwork it doesn't matter how much/little you pay for the rig, because licensing/insuring will be such an uphill climb you may never get it back on the road.

FYI:

Your State of California has very specific rules governing vehicles like this one. The Title has to be "rehabilitated" and reissued. Rules/methods at this link.
