Scan Guage D

Am thinking about buying a scan guage D for my "01 Tradewinds LTC with the 3126B Cat 330hp turbo and am wondering what all it's gonna be able to tell me. Does the computer actually read all the things that the Sacn Guage folks say it does, like turbo boost, mpg, temps, etc?
Also where does it plug in and what does the plug look like. I've been driving a school bus and charter for a number of years now and only had the guages to rely on and not an active computer.
Another thing, can I plug it into my Tab 2 so that I can have a larger read?
  • Ok,ordered one on Ebay out of Az for $160 and no shipping or sales tax and it's s'posed to be here from sat to monday. Will be able to set it up in time for our next long trip next weekend.Going to Belfair SP on Hood Canal for several days and it's a trip of a whole 19 miles. Made the res on the first of March and got my choice of two sites out of 150.
  • When you are going downhill, you are probably getting that 40 mpg. When going uphill you are probably only getting that 2.3 mpg. You can average it via the scan gauge over trip length (between fillups). It will just make you more aware of what your lead foot is doing to your mileage. I love mine.
  • i have 2009 GMC 1/2 5.3 3.73
it has gauges for water temp, tranny temp, oil pressure.
would this scan gauge work better for me. also came with tow package, which includes trans cooler. someone told me i might want to upgrade to larger. should i thing about it.
also, would cold air intake benefit me
