Any one carry a scooter, what kind, how much does it weigh? what method of carrier? on the rear or front?

Regarding shipping on the carrier...ya, it probably won't be worth it. I'm sure you can find a used carrier close-by. Try Craigs List and Ebay. People are upgrading all the time from scooters to motorcycles, so you shouldn't have a problem finding one.
