Screeching HWH Jacks
Just purchased an 07 Allegro Bus with HWH automatic levelors. They work fine, but when activated to level the coach, they screech loud enough to wake the dead. HELP please.

HWH jacks are immersed in ATF fluid, when retracted, there is NO reason to silicone or WD 40 the piston. The only maintenance on HWH is to keep the silver piston clean and shiny. IF you feel that you need to silicone the shaft for retraction problems, then your internal piston seals are bad and the jack needs rebuilt or replaced. Siliconing is a lot cheaper than replacing or rebuilding, but if you have the time, do it. Doug
