My last motorhome had that same motor and transmission, very strong and no issues, its a heavy duty trans that can handle lots of HP/Torque, if that's on a P chassis than it can ride smoother in front cause of the air bags over coil instead of leaf spring.

I will take the low miles anytime over a high mile rig. Yes stuff does age out but stuff wears out also. What ever the age of the drive train is the rubber parts will age out at about the same time, but the engine, transmission, and the rest of the drive train will be closer to wearing out on a high mileage rig than a low mileage one. That is to assume that it hasn't been setting outside and totally neglected for years.
