When was the last time you had your coach serviced? I've noticed prices have gone up dramatically in the last year or so. It used to cost around $200.00 to have the oil and filter changed, chassis lubed, generator oil and filter changed, and have the brake system flushed on a gas motorhome at our local Ford truck garage.
Last May I had the chassis oil and filter changed, the chassis lubed, and the brake system flushed (no generator oil and filter change) for just a little over $400.00. Prices have gone up considerably since businesses of that size are now required to provide health care, paid leave, and other benefits their employees didn't have in the past.
This is not a political statement, just an observation of what has changed over the years. When I was the shop foreman at the same dealership about the only benefits they provided were paid holidays and vacation. Health insurance was optional, but the employee paid the entire cost. Only the top management got the benefits most people expect today.
