I was looking to see if there was a way where I did not need to manually fill the tank as it got empty, but rather have it setup for autofill as it got empty.
Then I could leave the water pump on all the time.
Some of the other RV's have this setup from the factory, and it seems like a nice alternative.
You can leave the water pump switch turned on all the time. It will not run unless the system pressure drops, which is what happens when you open a faucet. It's a demand system.
It is a good idea to turn the power to the pump off at the switch if you are gone for more than a short time, in case you have a leak. You should also turn off the "city" water at the faucet, for the same reason.
