Setting up RV to use water pump instead of Park Supply

A friend of ours has that feature in their Dynasty....however, after having our first coach flooded once (my error), we now fill the tank with water and use the pump.....and we NEVER leave the pump on in case of a leak when we are away from the coach or sleeping.

There was another post several months ago where a brand new Newmar Essex flooded going down the highway when the new owner left the pump on and a line or connection broke.
