You can use an extension cord. Just get a good one, not the cheapest. You can plug different things in it at the same time, just don't use more than one at a time. Remember the appliances will all be on the same circuit.
The warning is the mfr covering themselves. Because people can be incredibly stupid with extension cords.
A good plug strip is probably the simplest solution.
