Let's say this plainly:
If the mirrors are hitting things, the unit is NOT being driven right.
If your hubby is the driver, he needs to stop blaming the mirrors and adjust his attitude a bit.
If you make the mirrors shorter, you will not be able to see the back of the RV as well......nor vehicles approaching from the rear. And backing will be MUCH more difficult, with or without a tow or camera. Totally BAD idea.
