Hey man, same thing happened to me twice now, those little dual plastic wheels crack and the whole roller jumps the track the first pothole you hit. Drives you nuts.
The good news: you almost never have to pull the top rail off.
Just do this:
- Slide both doors to the middle so the bad roller is hanging in the open.
- Grab the door panel firmly and lift straight up (there’s usually a good bit of play in the bottom guide).
- While it’s lifted, tilt the top of the door toward the center of the shower a little. The good wheel clears the inside lip and the whole roller pops right out into your hand.
- Swap the broken roller for a new one.
- Reverse the move: lift, tilt, drop it back in. Takes maybe 90 seconds once you’ve done it once.
I now carry a couple spare dual-wheel rollers in the coach because it’s literally a roadside fix. Way easier than tearing the whole track apart.
Glad you caught it before the door came crashing down. Safe travels and smooth showering from here on out! 🚿😄
